About the Role

Dorsia is seeking an IT Manager to build and operate our internal IT function as the company scales across New York and Miami. The role owns the IT roadmap end to end, spanning identity and access management, device security, compliance readiness for audits and enterprise partnerships, vendor and hardware management, and day-to-day support for both offices.

It is equally hands-on and strategic, overseeing the integrations and automations that connect our internal tools and partnering closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to hold our internal systems to the same standard as the platform we build. This is a rare opportunity to shape the function from the ground up, with real autonomy and direct visibility, during a period of significant growth.

What You’ll Do

IT Strategy and Operations

• Build and own Dorsia's IT roadmap, anticipating needs ahead of headcount growth, new offices, and expanding platform offerings.
• Define the standards, policies, and documentation that shape how the team adopts and uses technology.
• Plan and manage the IT budget, balancing cost efficiency with the quality of the employee experience.
• Build a scalable support model with clear intake, response standards, and a self-serve knowledge base.
• Report on IT health, risks, and priorities to leadership.

AI, Automation, and Systems Integration

• Design and maintain integrations that connect internal tools across People, Finance, Operations, and beyond.
• Replace manual workflows with automations that save the team meaningful time.
• Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI-powered tools, and set guidelines for their secure and responsible use.
• Partner with Engineering to keep internal systems aligned with the broader technology environment.

Security, Identity, and Compliance 

• Own SSO, MFA, and role-based access across all company systems, with regular reviews to maintain least-privilege access.
• Automate provisioning and deprovisioning through Rippling, tied to onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
• Establish endpoint security, data protection, and acceptable use policies, and drive security awareness across the company.
• Own the IT controls and evidence collection that support financial audits, security reviews, and enterprise partner requirements.
• Build incident response, backup, and business continuity plans, and lead response when issues arise.

Office IT, Devices, and Vendors

• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support across the New York and Miami offices, including on-site needs for company events.
• Own office infrastructure, including networking, Wi-Fi, conference room technology, and peripherals.
• Deliver a polished day-one experience for every new hire, with every device configured, secured, and kept up to date through MDM.
• Own hardware procurement, inventory, and asset tracking across the full device lifecycle.
• Manage the SaaS stack, including contracts, renewals, license utilization, and opportunities to consolidate tools.

The Winning Recipe

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years owning IT at a fast-growing startup or multi-office company.
• Daily use of AI and automation tools such as Claude, Zapier, or n8n, with comfort writing simple scripts.
• Strong networking fundamentals, with working knowledge of cloud environments and endpoint security tools.
• Proven experience implementing security programs, access controls, and compliance work such as SOC 2.
• Hands-on administration of Google Workspace, Slack, and Rippling, along with identity providers such as Okta, plus Apple and Windows device management.
• A service-first communicator who takes full ownership, keeps clean documentation, manages vendors well, and brings a hospitality mindset to internal support.
• Ability to travel occasionally between our New York and Miami offices.
• Certifications such as Jamf, Okta, or CompTIA Security+ and experience in consumer tech, marketplace, or hospitality are a plus.

Compensation: 

New York Pay Range

$120,000—$150,000 USD
