Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting Analyst located in São Paulo (BRA)

About you and this role:

This position is responsible for performing a broad range of accounting activities, including the preparation and management of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, as well as supporting accounting processes related to treasury, intercompany transactions, fixed assets,

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, ensuring activities are performed in compliance with the company’s internal controls.

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including accruals, provisions, amortizations, and investment-related entries.

• Prepare and review multiple account reconciliations, obtain detailed transaction support, investigate discrepancies, and proactively resolve open reconciling items.

• Record accounting entries related to treasury operations, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and payroll accounting processes.

• Prepare and post bank-related journal entries.

• Review balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

• Support internal and external audit activities, including providing documentation and explanations as required.

• Participate in projects related to departmental initiatives and process improvements.

• Stay up to date with the company’s accounting standards, policies, and accounting manuals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (completed or in progress).

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Previous work experience in finance or accounting.

• Strong interest in developing a career in Finance.

Skills:

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.

• Experience with SAP and reporting tools such as Power BI.
