Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Senior Area Product Specialist located in São Paulo (BRA)

About you and this role:

You will drive the local implementation of the PM strategy and leads/develops the LAA pricing and product line strategy. In this position you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, TS&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and regional/global business team s to manage the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the area VCMT coordination (Value Center Management Team) to align all functions (sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain, operations, etc.) to deliver business results.

  • Responsible for the LAA implementation of local product mix for asset efficiency and maximum value/margin extraction

  • Responsible for delivering the LAA EBITDA plan for the value center assessment according to the global VC PM strategy. Including partnering with Global VC PM´s and asset owning BU´s (e.g. DCM).

  • Drives opportunity assessment, prioritization and business case investment justification. Including partnering with Sales, R&D, working with global PM´s on asset strategy/investments enabling growth/expansions/optimization.

  • Provides leadership and guidance to ensure quality products and services to maximize customer satisfaction and risk management

  • Participate on Global BMT (Business Management Teams) and area CLT (Commercial Leadership Teams)

  • Participates in S&OP. Secure area-specific supply/demand balance. Understand challenges, determines where reductions or upsides globally need to take place by working with regional counterparts to balance globally.

  • Leads the information collection and direction setting on market fundamentals, pricing tactics, supply demand, etc. on a regular basis to set direction and gain alignment with the commercial organization.

  • Understands raw materials, cost drivers.

  • Support commercialization of innovation projects and new product launches in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and TS&D.

  • Support commercial teams with product value selling, business cases, and customer engagement strategies.

  • Supports engagement with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.

  • Support regional and global initiatives that enhance commercial excellence, digital capabilities, and customer experience.

  • Leverage digital tools, analytics, and commercial excellence processes to improve decision-making and business outcomes.

  • Support implementation of digital sales initiatives and data-driven commercial practices.

  • Utilize market intelligence and business analytics to guide portfolio decisions and investment priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • 3-4 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Microsoft Office, SAP, and other business systems
