Financial Analyst

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining financial controls and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Working closely with operational and business stakeholders, you'll assist with month-end activities, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and financial analysis to support business performance and compliance obligations.
This contract role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on finance environment and can quickly build relationships, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, account analysis and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigate outstanding items and assist with timely resolution.
- Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation and register maintenance.
- Assist with audit requirements, financial controls, compliance activities and reporting obligations.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial support, respond to queries and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Experience in financial accounting, management accounting or a finance support role, preferably within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems; JDE, SAP and Power BI exposure will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight reporting deadlines.
