Inspection Coordinator

As the Inspection Coordinator, you’ll lead a team of seven Inspectors across the region, ensuring inspection programs are delivered consistently and in accordance with Section 750 requirements. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll oversee inspection quality, assurance activities and continuous improvement, while working closely with planning and maintenance teams to support effective maintenance decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of seven Inspectors across multiple depots.
• Manage inspection programs and ensure compliance with Section 750 requirements.
• Undertake assurance inspections and drive consistent inspection standards.
• Coach and develop Inspectors through training and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain Inspection Guides, Work Instructions and inspection methodologies.
• Review inspection and defect data to improve maintenance prioritisation.
• Work closely with planning, maintenance and key external stakeholders.
• Lead by example when it comes to Zero Harm and safe work practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Road maintenance or similar infrastructure experience preferred.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Understanding of pavement maintenance, defect identification and treatment selection.
• Experience with asset or works management systems such as Asset Vision.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Certificate II or III in Civil Construction or Maintenance advantageous, but not essential.
