Site Engineer
The Opportunity
Join Downer’s Utilities business as a Site Engineer supporting the delivery of power systems and substation projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, Program Manager and site teams, you will provide practical engineering support, coordinate delivery activities and help keep projects aligned to safety, quality, schedule and commercial requirements.
This role offers a 10 & 4 roster and the opportunity to build your project engineering capability across design, procurement, subcontractor coordination, cost and forecast reporting, change management and on-site delivery. You will also provide technical advice, maintain strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to continuous improvement across the project.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor of Engineering
- At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Project engineering experience, including subcontractor management
- Demonstrated capability in scheduling, financial management and reporting
- Experience supporting change management and driving quality outcomes in project delivery
- Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Commitment to Zero Harm and working within safety, quality and environmental systems.
- Transmission industry experience is preferred
