Assistant Manager - Warehouse Operations - Contract Logistics

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of customer orders and shipment schedules.
• Monitor operational KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, turnaround time, and dispatch performance.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and operational workflows.

Inventory Management

• Ensure accurate inventory tracking and stock reconciliation.
• Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and discrepancy investigations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy within WMS/ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory movement and material handling practices.

Team Supervision

• Supervise warehouse supervisors, operators, and associates across shifts.
• Support manpower planning, rostering, and workload allocation.
• Conduct training sessions on SOPs, safety, and operational best practices.
• Drive team productivity, discipline, and performance management.

Customer & SLA Management

• Ensure customer SLA adherence and service quality standards.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and operational updates.
• Support customer audits and operational review meetings.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimization.
• Support implementation of Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare operational MIS reports and productivity analysis.
• Coordinate with transportation, procurement, and customer service teams.
• Support budgeting and operational cost monitoring activities.
