Field Sales Manager Freight Forwarding

About the role

As Field Sales Manager Freight Forwarding, you will play a key role in growing our business by building meaningful customer relationships and identifying new opportunities in the market. You will work closely with colleagues across sales, operations, tender management, trade lanes, and business units to deliver logistics solutions that create value for customers.

This is a customer-facing role where your impact will be visible from the first conversation through to successful onboarding and long-term account growth. How you will contribute

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in Freight Forwarding (air, ocean, and road transport).
• Manage a book of business, ensuring continuous growth in volume, revenue, and margin.
• Ensure continuous growth in the customer portfolio, maintaining a healthy balance between hunting and farming activities.
• Maintain and update the CRM system daily to effectively manage the sales pipeline and accurately record activities supporting the Field Sales Incentive Scheme.
• Visit prospective and existing customers regularly to build strong, long-term business relationships.
• Understand customer needs and propose tailored logistics solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and service offerings.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements in coordination with pricing and operations teams.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and the smooth implementation of services.
• Maintain accurate records of customer meetings, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities within the CRM system.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings when required.

What you will bring

• Proven experience in sales within Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation, with a strong understanding of air, ocean and/or road freight solutions.
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while building long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external networks.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, with confidence communicating in an international business environment.
• Self-driven and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and travel as required (valid driver's licence required).
