Draper is an American non-profit research and development laboratory founded in 1932 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and made independent in 1973. It designs guidance, navigation and control systems, and its predecessor built the Apollo guidance computer that landed astronauts on the Moon, work that shaped the whole field of inertial navigation. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it works for defence, intelligence, space and biomedical customers, and its non-profit status lets it act as a trusted independent adviser on programmes where a contractor with products to sell would face a conflict.

Overview:

Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, MA. The 2,000+ employees of Draper tackle important national challenges with a promise of delivering successful and usable solutions. From military defense and space exploration to biomedical engineering, lives often depend on the solutions we provide. Our multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists work in a collaborative environment that inspires the cross-fertilization of ideas necessary for true innovation. - Strong proficiency in modern front-end (React, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS) and back-end (Node.js/Express, Python, Java) technologies.

- Deep understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth, OIDC), and cloud-native patterns.

- Experience with issue-tracking and CI/CD tools (Jira, GitLab, GitHub Actions).

- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (Master’s a plus).

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS).

- Deployments on AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Knowledge of serverless architectures and event-driven designs.

- Experience with high-availability, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

**About You**

- Insatiable appetite to learn new technologies and share knowledge.
