Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end analysis of key game metrics: retention (D1/D7/D30), engagement, monetisation (ARPDAU, ARPPU, LTV), and funnel conversion to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Partner with Product Managers and Game Designers to define KPIs for new features, events, and content updates, and measure post-launch impact, while designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests with statistical rigour.
• Build and maintain self-serve dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and conduct deep-dive analyses on player segments (whales, churners, new users) to inform personalisation and CRM/lifecycle strategies.
• Collaborate with User Acquisition teams on campaign performance, cohort LTV modelling, and marketing spend efficiency (ROAS, payback period), while writing and optimising SQL queries against large-scale event/telemetry data.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders and leadership, and contribute to forecasting and business reviews (revenue, DAU/MAU, live-ops calendar impact).

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or BI, ideally within mobile gaming, F2P products, or another consumer app/subscription/marketplace environment with high-volume event data.
• Strong SQL skills (window functions, CTEs, query optimisation) and hands-on experience querying large datasets (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
• Solid grounding in statistics, experimentation design, A/B testing, significance testing, and cohort/retention analysis.
• Proficiency with a BI/visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Familiarity with core F2P/gaming metrics: DAU/MAU, retention curves, ARPDAU, LTV, IAP conversion, and funnel drop-off.
• Experience with Python or R for analysis (pandas, statistical modelling) is a plus, along with excellent communication skills to distil data into a story and defend it in front of stakeholders.
• A proactive, curious mindset with strong business acumen and comfort operating in ambiguity.

Good to Have:

• Experience with mobile analytics/attribution platforms (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Firebase, GameAnalytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
• Exposure to LTV/churn prediction modelling or basic machine learning techniques.
• Understanding of live-ops cadence, seasonal events, and monetisation design in mobile games.
• Experience presenting to senior leadership or cross-functional executive teams.
