Cape Town, South Africa: be the local who makes arriving simple
Please read our website and LinkedIn for ten minutes first. In your Loom we will ask what we do, where you found out about us, and why you want to work at Drop Zero Digital. A reply that would fit any company at all is set aside.
What the position is
Drop Zero Digital is a lifecycle marketing agency. Our founder moves to Cape Town around 20 November 2026, and we are looking for a personal assistant who already lives there and reports straight to him. You would be his very first hire in South Africa, and the first person he calls for nearly anything.
Before he flies in, you work remotely from your own place in Cape Town. That means choosing his accommodation, finding a co-working space and arranging the rest of what a good landing needs. Once he has arrived, the work happens face to face. You get him settled, walk into the co-working space with him, and become his local guide and a warm, dependable face in an unfamiliar city. The relationship is strictly professional, and not romantic in any way.
What fills your days
- His diary, personal and social: dating app admin, the events he hosts, the ones he attends elsewhere, and his photos and Instagram.
- Growing his personal profile around the city.
- Everything personal that needs organising: bookings, errands, appointments, paperwork and the little jobs that eat a whole day.
- Local help, found and managed by you. The first job is lining up an on call driver for the month, because safety matters in Cape Town. You find, vet and brief each person, then keep things moving.
- Occasional business admin.
Private details will cross your desk daily. Discretion is not an extra in this role, it is the role.
Who suits it
- You live in Cape Town and know which areas, venues and routes are safe, and which people can be trusted.
- You are careful with detail, so every date, address and booking is right at the first attempt.
- You plan well when budget, time and safety pull in different directions.
- You judge social settings well and know when to lead and when to stay in the background.
- A vendor saying no does not stop you, and you find another way without prompting.
- You write clearly and speak up early when something starts to go wrong.
The route to an offer, and we tell you all of it now
- First, you apply with a short Loom video.
- Second, a short written step in which you share your internet speed, your computer and answers to a few questions in your own words.
- Fourth, a recorded video interview in one take, no re-records.
- Fifth, a short call with the founder.
Requirements
- Based in Cape Town City and available to work in person.
- Available now for remote preparation, and in person from around 20 November 2026.
- You have dependable internet, at least 30 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up, which we test live with you.
- You write strong English.
- You are at ease with personal and social admin, dating app logistics included.
- A car and licence help, but you do not need them.
Benefits

On top of that:
A one-month annual bonus.
15 days of paid leave a year, plus South Africa’s public holidays.

A health allowance.
