Main Purpose of the Role
- The position will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, identifying and resolving equipment faults, responding promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure continuous service to customers
Qualifications
- Qualified Millwright certificate. Software knowledge. Siemens ST-PLC intro & st-7 Micro 1
- Training or certification in automated warehouse systems and material handling equipment would be advantageous
Computer Literacy Level
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge
Additional Computer Skills
- CAD Drawing
Job Related Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of automated warehouse systems
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in servicing and maintaining automated systems
- Must be able to carry out preventative and corrective maintenance effectively
- Having reliable transport is essential
- Must be willing and able to work night shift when required
- Must be able to fulfil standby duties, including after-hours call outs when necessary
- Must have strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills

- Practical experience with cranes, carousels, sorters, conveyors and associated automated equipment
- A strong focus on equipment availability, reliability, safety and minimizing downtime
Duties & Responsibilities
- System maintenance - reactive repair on automated cranes, sorter, conveyors, lifters and carrousel system
- PLC diagnostics - identify sensor actuator faults
- Electromechanical repairs - repairs to variable speed drives, servo motors, pneumatic actuators, hydraulics, conveyor chains and identify system errors
