The Impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of IT Cybersecurity & Platform Engineering team, the Associate Director, AI Security & Data Protection Engineering serves as a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling DTCC's data protection capabilities across AI platforms, GenAI services, agentic workflows, cloud environments, and enterprise collaboration channels.

The role combines deep expertise in data protection, security architecture, AI risk management, and engineering leadership to ensure sensitive information is appropriately governed throughout the AI lifecycle. The successful candidate will partner closely with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Data Management, and Application Development teams to define and implement technical controls that enable AI adoption while protecting DTCC's most sensitive information.

This position will lead the design and implementation of controls including AI-aware DLP, automated classification and labeling, AI security guardrails, DSPM integrations, data access governance, prompt and response protections, model interaction controls, and secure AI development practices.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with the ability to influence enterprise strategy, drive complex initiatives, and provide technical leadership across multiple security and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, information security, or security engineering.
• Minimum 3 years leading complex technical initiatives or security programs.
• Experience delivering security solutions within financial services or another highly regulated industry preferred

Talents Needed for Success:

Required

• Deep understanding of Data Protection technologies, controls and governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and associated security risks.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Data security and Data Governance
  • Cloud security
  • Encryption and key management
  • Secure software development practices
  • AI Security
• Experience leading technical implementations across multiple engineering.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Financial Services or highly regulated industry experience.
• Experience translating complex technical requirements into scalable enterprise solutions

Preferred

• Experience securing Generative AI platforms and AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, AI gateways, and AI security controls.
• Familiarity with emerging AI security frameworks and industry standards.
• Experience establishing security guardrails for enterprise AI adoption.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, Microsoft Security, or equivalent credential

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
