NetSuite Functional Team Lead (OTC/P2P)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Functional Team Lead (OTC/P2P) to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of NetSuite ERP solutions, with a strong focus on Order-to-Cash (OTC/O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

The successful candidate will act as the functional lead between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions. You will lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement projects, drive process improvements, oversee functional deliverables, and provide guidance and mentorship to other consultants.

This role requires strong hands-on NetSuite expertise, excellent understanding of finance and operational processes, and the ability to lead projects and stakeholders from requirements gathering through implementation, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Consulting & Business Process Analysis

• Lead workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions.
• Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements aligned with NetSuite best practices.
• Map and optimize end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC/O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and scalable NetSuite solutions.
• Act as the primary functional advisor to business stakeholders and project teams.

NetSuite OTC/O2C & P2P Implementation

• Lead the functional design and configuration of NetSuite solutions covering Sales Orders and Order Management, Order Fulfilment and Inventory, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, Customer and Pricing Management, Procurement and Purchase Orders, Vendor Management, Goods Receipt and Vendor Billing, Accounts Payable and Payment Processes.
• Configure NetSuite workflows, forms, roles, permissions, saved searches, reports, dashboards, and other functional components.
• Drive process automation and reduction of manual activities through NetSuite capabilities and appropriate customizations.
• Ensure solutions support business controls, approval processes, reporting requirements, and operational efficiency.

Team & Project Leadership

• Lead and coordinate functional consultants throughout NetSuite implementation and enhancement projects.
• Allocate functional tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality and timely completion.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level consultants, providing guidance on NetSuite functionality and consulting best practices.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Consultants, Developers, Solution Architects, and external vendors.
• Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, scope, and deliverables from a functional perspective.
• Take ownership of functional escalations and drive issues through to resolution.

Solution Design & Technical Collaboration

• Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), process flows, configuration specifications, and other functional documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams on SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, integrations, customizations, and automation.
• Evaluate third-party integrations and ensure that data flows correctly between NetSuite and external systems such as CRM, payment platforms, logistics systems, and other business applications.
• Provide functional guidance for data migration, data validation, and integration testing.

Testing, Deployment & Support

• Develop test scenarios and test scripts for functional requirements.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and business sign-off.
• Support data migration validation, cutover planning, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot functional issues.
• Identify root causes and recommend sustainable solutions rather than short-term fixes.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of the NetSuite environment.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a key point of contact for business stakeholders and provide clear updates on project progress, risks, issues, and solutions.
• Communicate complex ERP concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making on functional requirements and solution design.
• Conduct end-user training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Build strong relationships with business users and ensure successful adoption of NetSuite solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience, preferably across implementation, enhancement, and post-go-live support.
• Strong functional expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC/O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end NetSuite implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Finance and ERP processes, including AR, AP, billing, procurement, inventory, and financial impacts.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration, including SuiteFlow / Workflows, Saved Searches, Reports & Dashboards, Roles & Permissions, Forms and custom fields and NetSuite administration.
• Experience working with technical teams on SuiteScript, integrations, APIs, and third-party applications.
• Experience with data migration, SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Strong business process mapping and solution-design capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate functional consultants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
