About the GRIT Programme

The Graduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT) Programme is an initiative by the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) that provides fresh graduates with structured traineeship opportunities across various industries for a period of 3 to 6 months.

The programme aims to support fresh graduates with no prior working experience by providing hands-on industry exposure and practical skills development. Through structured training and real-world project experience, trainees gain industry-relevant competencies that support their transition into full-time employment.

About the Role

TheData & AI Solutions Trainee will support DXC Technology's Data & AI team in delivering data-driven solutions for enterprise clients. This traineeship provides hands-on exposure to real-world data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning projects within a global IT services environment.

The trainee will work alongside experienced Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Solution Architects, and Consultants to develop foundational skills in data management, AI technologies, and enterprise-grade digital solutions.

This role is ideal for motivated graduates who are passionate about data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies and are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection, cleansing, transformation, and preprocessing activities for analytics and AI/ML projects.

• Support the development and testing of data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal and client-facing projects.

• Participate in machine learning model development, testing, and evaluation under supervision.

• Conduct research on emerging AI, machine learning, and data engineering technologies and best practices.

• Document technical processes, workflows, methodologies, and project findings.

• Perform data validation and quality assurance activities.

• Support solution teams in preparing presentations, demonstrations, and technical documentation.

• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Perform database queries, data extraction, and basic analysis tasks as assigned.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovation and AI-driven initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

• Graduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026 from a University, Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or other educational institution (including private universities and overseas institutions); or

• Graduated earlier from the above institutions and completed National Service (NS) in2024, 2025, or 2026.

• Must haveno prior working experience.

• Must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship.

Note: Trainees who complete their studies in 2026 but will only receive their qualification or certification award in 2027 are also eligible to apply.

DXC-Specific Requirements

In addition to meeting the GRIT Programme eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must be available to commit to a minimum six (6) month full-time traineeship with DXC Technology.

• Due to project and business requirements,DXC will only consider candidates who are available for the full 6-month duration.

• Candidates who are unable to complete the full 6-month traineeship commitment will not be considered.
