About the Role
At Dyson, we take a problem solving approach to everything we do. Our Retail Sales Assistants are enthusiastic brand ambassadors, providing the ultimate owner experience explaining our technology, support queries, answering technical questions about machines and cross-selling Dyson products and services to existing owners. Our Retail Assistants are Dyson advocates who know our technology inside out and are excited by it. They are the face of Dyson, connecting our world leading and pioneering technology with shoppers and owners.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Proactively engage store visitors with hands-on product demonstrations tailored to their needs across all Dyson categories (Floor Care, Environmental Control, Personal Care, and Professional)
Take ownership of customer issues by performing hands-on technical diagnostics and troubleshooting to achieve first-touch resolution
Take personal responsibility for advising customers of promotions and new technology by cross-selling Dyson products and services
Advise customers of repair options and pricing
Maintain accurate records of all customer account details and interactions using store databases, CRM, and Mypos systems
Process shipping labels and dispatch customer machines using courier services
Process payments via cash, credit card, or cheque and complete end-of-day balances
Respond to email requests for information from managers and internal stakeholders
Complete office administrative duties, including filing invoices, embossing, and gift wrapping
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising, ensuring correct pricing, executing point-of-sale material, and reporting display or fixture maintenance needs
Monitor stock levels to ensure all Dyson products are out on display, fully operational, and available
Assist with general store operations, including the cleaning and tidying of communal areas
Take personal responsibility for achieving individual and store KPIs, including sales volume, conversion rates, premium mix, customer service, and overall store profitability
Utilise the "How to Sell" framework (Engage, Explore, Explain, Execute) alongside ongoing coaching from the Store Manager to deliver high-quality customer interactions
Previous skills & experience:-
Customer service and/or sales experience
Experience within a premium retail environment is advantageous
An understanding of retail principles such as visual merchandising and sales targets
