Senior Mechanical Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where you will play a critical role in designing and manufacturing satellite structures and mechanisms. You will have ownership of your hardware and be involved throughout the satellite build process. This position requires 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in CAD modeling and mechanical design for extreme environments. A bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent experience is required.

Missions

• Design and manufacture satellite structures and mechanisms, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Manage CAD assemblies and drawings, and develop build documents and drawings for hardware.
• Define, build, and test designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware, supporting fabrication assembly and testing.

- Successfully implemented your design solutions in a complex environment

- Experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent real-world design and build experience

- Experience working on complex satellite/space systems
