Job Summary

The Site Controller oversees all financial and accounting operations for the manufacturing site in Vancouver, WA. This is an on-site role that ensures accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic fiscal management. The Site Controller directly leads the accounting team and manages core functions such as financial reporting, transaction oversight, expense control, working capital, risk mitigation, and rolling forecasts.

A key partner to site leadership, the Site Controller provides data-driven insights to guide operational and strategic decisions. This position is also responsible for maintaining and strengthening financial policies, procedures, and controls to proactively identify, resolve, and document accounting issues in support of the site’s operational and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Cost Control: Analyze manufacturing costs, product costing, inventory valuation, scrap, rework, and operational variances to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial statements, KPIs, and performance analyses.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accuracy, valuation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Production Efficiency: Analyze operational data to optimize productivity and resource utilization.
  • Capital Expenditures: Evaluate and manage investments in equipment and facility improvements.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits, addressing findings proactively.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify financial and operational risks, developing strategies to minimize impact.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and guide the finance team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, supply chain, and senior leadership to align financial and business goals.
  • Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights to guide strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills

  • Education & credentials: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Accounting expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax principles, and manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.
  • Manufacturing experience: 5+ years in accounting within a manufacturing environment, with electronics contract manufacturing experience as an asset.
  • Leadership experience: 3-5 years in a Site Controller-level role and 3-5 years managing a finance/accounting team.
  • Manufacturing metrics: Familiarity with key metrics such as OEE, yield, scrap rates, and throughput.
  • Systems & tools: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, plus hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Financial analysis: Ability to analyze business cases, ROI, and NPV for capital projects, as well as pricing and customer profitability.
  • Communication & impact: Strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
  • Leadership & execution: Proven ability to lead process improvements, system implementations, and business continuity planning.
  • Personal strengths: Self-starter, proactive problem-solver, collaborative team player, and effective communicator who can manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Base Pay: $120,000 - $130,000

This role is eligible for the Vexos Manager Bonus. The bonus payment is based on the prior year fiscal outcome tied to EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization), and personal performance goals. As a member of the management team, if objectives are achieved at 100%, you will receive a bonus equal to 15% of your gross salary, prorated from hire date.

In accordance with 22 CFR § 120.62, this access is limited to U.S. Persons - defined as U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents ("green card" holders), and individuals admitted as refugees or granted asylum under applicable U.S. law - unless appropriate government authorization is obtained.
