Business Development Manager - White Space

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new commercial partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives within the Distributed IT (D-IT) organization, part of the Global Data Center business. This position will be based in Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC and would be reporting to the White Space Development Manager within the D-IT business unit. This individual will be responsible for the successful development and execution of growth through partners by developing and executing business plans, managing a portfolio of partners with commercial relationships and aligning cross-functional teams to meet market demands and achieve financial objectives.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new commercial partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies to drive revenue, increase market penetration, and expand customer access.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners, including manufacturers, alliances, integrators, and ecosystem partners.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify emerging partnership opportunities and industry trends.
• Regularly participate in report outs on partner performance, including forecasting pipelines and backlogs.
• Collaborate closely with PLMs, Sales, Marketing, Segments, and Ventures.
• Participate in industry events promoting the strategic vision, collaborating with alliance partners and end customers to provide solutions to growing industry problems.
• Accountable for partner portfolio health and growth impact results.
• Build and lead a high-performing engagements that fosters collaboration, accountability, and innovation to execute the organization’s strategic vision and ensure alignment with the data center segment’s goals and priorities.

This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electrical, industrial or data center segment
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, account management, or commercial strategy

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
• Proficiency in enterprise tools, including SAP, Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and CRM platforms such as Salesforce

We will not consider candidates who:

• No relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL OR Raleigh, NC. Active Duty Military Service Member candidates are exempt from these geographic requirements.

• Successfully has driven revenue growth greater than 20% year over year and delivered measurable business results
• Experience in B2B, technology, industrial infrastructure, or channel-driven business models.
• Familiarity with agreement structures, partner incentives, and go-to-market models.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach.
• Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with a solid understanding of marketing strategies
• Comprehensive understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems and thermal management solutions
• Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong executive presence.
