Production Team Lead - 2nd Shift - RPO

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Production Team Lead - 2nd Shift - RPO at our Spring Forest Rd site in Raleigh, NC.

The pay rate for this position is $24 per hour.

Core hours are 2:30pm - 11:00pm

What you’ll do:

In this function you will:

• Lead root cause analyses for quality defects and corrective actions.
• Coordinate resources, parts, and materials with production planning and material handling to meet customer commitments.
• Direct associates, monitor production boards hourly, and rebalance workloads to achieve quality and output targets.
• Represent work centers in daily production meetings and escalate issues affecting quality, output, or delivery.
• Provide Purchasing with daily updates to support customer demand.
• Coach the team on Kanban, continuous flow, standardized work, and workload balancing.
• Report bill of materials (BOM) inaccuracies to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Train new employees and maintain production-training records.
• Perform all build functions within the work cell.
• Promote environmental, health, and safety requirements while helping management resolve key issues.
• Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Promote Eaton’s goals and continuous improvement through teamwork, ELSS, EQS, and Kaizen events.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
• Inventory control experience

Position Criteria:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and requires frequent standing or bending.
• Ability to distinguish colored wiring
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a productive, team oriented environment
• Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility
• Attention to detail and ability to use Microsoft Office programs and MRP software
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or standard work procedures
• Ability to use good judgment and problem solving skills to make informed decisions
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime
