What you’ll do:
As a Supply Quality Engineer you will be responsible for commodity and sector supplier-quality performance, risk prioritization, and systemic quality improvement. You will own and monitors commodity DPPM and supplier-quality trends, leads structured quality problem solving for complex, chronic, recurring, and cross-site issues, and drives sustainable risk reduction. The role is a commodity/process SME with region focus; it partners with SDE commodity/process SMEs when specialized manufacturing-process expertise or supplier capability development is required.
The position is available in Hungary (3 days working from the office) or Poland, Czechia, Slovakia - in a remote working model.
As it requires up to 50% of travel, it is important to be located in comfortable commuting distance from the airport.
Responsibilities:
- Own and monitor commodity DPPM, supplier-quality performance, Pareto trends, chronic suppliers, and cross-site patterns.
- Prioritize suppliers and commodity quality risks using performance, recurrence, business impact and cross-site exposure.
- Lead structured supplier-quality problem solving for complex, chronic, recurring, systemic, and cross-site issues.
- Challenge and validate supplier root cause and corrective action, ensuring rigor, evidence, and recurrence prevention.
- Drive systemic corrective action, chronic supplier recovery, and commodity-level quality improvement.
- Plan and execute risk-based supplier audits and convert findings into prioritized quality-improvement actions.
- Identify systemic quality risks across sites and coordinate cross-site corrective action and standardization where required.
- Engage SDE commodity/process SMEs when quality risk exposes a manufacturing capability, process, capacity, scalability, rate-readiness, or specialized technical gap.
- Support defined APQP/PPAP quality activities and supplier-quality readiness for high-risk launches, changes, and transfers.
- Verify effectiveness and sustained reduction of supplier and commodity quality risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline
- Expertise in PCBA and electronics is required
- Additional experience in: plastic injection, molding, casting nonferrous, plating, painting is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience of manufacturing process and area of assessing manufacturing capability and driving process supplier improvement
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and structured problem solving
- Knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies
