Director of Project Development

Job Description:

• Lead mission-critical infrastructure project development
• Oversee daily large-scale project development, estimating, and application engineering
• Build and strategically develop the team supporting future project pipelines
• Recruit, hire, and develop a scalable project development team
• Establish and refine standardized corporate project-development processes
• Work cross-functionally on design standards, budgeting, document control, client management, and related organizational needs
• Provide leadership oversight for daily execution and milestone completion
• Apply expertise in critical infrastructure, electrical design, estimating, and construction practices
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders during the pre-contract process
• Enforce safety standards and corporate compliance
• Report to the Senior Director of Operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in large scale project development, sales, estimating, or similar function
• Experience in energy-focused mission-critical environments is required
• Proven track record of leading project development, interacting with executive leadership, managing project financial needs, and supporting large scale infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of project design, construction practices, critical infrastructure, and mission-critical project needs
• Ability to drive day-to-day operational needs and deliver team outputs consistently on time
• Deep understanding of organizational functions related to project development and delivery, including electrical engineering, estimating, supply chain, legal/contracts, and sales
• Desire to build a team and processes within a fast-growth organization
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse groups of reports and colleagues and lead in a dynamic environment
