Als engineer bij onze partner ontwikkel je embedded software voor slimme woningtechnologie, voornamelijk in C++ en Rust. Je werkt nauw samen met hardware-, elektronica- en productteams aan innovatieve smart-home oplossingen binnen een snelgroeiend technologiebedrijf, met veel ruimte om je technisch te ontwikkelen.

Je bevindt je op het snijvlak van hardware en software en draagt bij aan betrouwbare, veilige en performante producten.

Takenpakket:

Ontwikkelen en onderhouden van embedded software voor slimme toestellen en systemen
Programmeren in Rust en C++ met focus op prestaties, betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid
Optimaliseren van communicatie tussen slimme apparaten, ook op hardware met beperkte capaciteit
Schrijven van unit tests om softwarekwaliteit te waarborgen
Afstemmen met hardware engineers voor een goede software–hardware integratie
Opvolgen van nieuwe trends en technologieën binnen embedded software en smart homes
Opstellen van technische documentatie en delen van kennis binnen het team

Profiel

Masterdiploma in Informatica, Software Engineering, IT of een vergelijkbare technische richting
Minstens 3 à 4 jaar relevante werkervaring
Need to have: Sterke kennis van modern C++
Nice to have: Eerste ervaring met Rust, kennis van communicatieprotocollen zoals MQTT, Matter, KNX of gRPC
Interesse in AI en nieuwe technologieën
Sterke analytische vaardigheden en oog voor detail
Goede kennis van het Engels; kennis van het Nederlands is een extra troef
