Project Engineer

Egyptian Engineering Company (EEC), a company specialized in steel fabrication and pressure vessel manufacturing, is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to coordinate and monitor project execution from order handover through manufacturing and final delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with Planning, Production, Technical Office, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure projects are executed according to approved schedules, budgets, technical specifications, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities from order handover through manufacturing, inspection, and final delivery.

• Review project scope, contractual requirements, technical specifications, and delivery commitments with the relevant departments.

• Coordinate with Planning and Production to monitor project schedules, manufacturing progress, and delivery dates.

• Track project milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and outstanding actions.

• Follow up on material availability and procurement status with Procurement and Warehouse.

• Coordinate with the Technical Office to clarify drawings, technical documents, and engineering requirements.

• Follow up with Quality Control to ensure required inspections and quality documentation are completed.

• Monitor project costs, identify potential budget deviations, and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant departments.

• Maintain project trackers, progress reports, meeting minutes, risk registers, and action logs.

• Identify project delays, operational bottlenecks, and potential risks, escalating critical issues to the Project Manager or General Manager as appropriate.

• Coordinate project-related communication between internal departments, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.

• Support inspection, dispatch, installation, and final handover activities according to project requirements.

• Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• 3–7 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, or project execution, preferably in steel fabrication, pressure vessels, or heavy industrial manufacturing.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

• Experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring, and cross-functional coordination.

• Experience using Odoo ERP or similar ERP systems to track project progress, materials, procurement, inventory, and project-related transactions.

• Ability to maintain accurate project records and coordinate data updates across relevant departments using ERP systems.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and follow-up skills.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
