Egis is a French engineering, consulting and operations group working on transport, buildings, water, energy and urban development projects worldwide. It designs and supervises infrastructure such as motorways, rail lines, metro systems, airports and bridges, and unusually also operates assets once they are built, running airports and road concessions rather than handing them over at completion. Headquartered near Paris and majority owned by the state investment bank Caisse des Depots alongside its own employees, the group employs tens of thousands of engineers and project managers across more than one hundred countries.

Egis is a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm. We create and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings that both respond to the climate emergency and contribute to balanced, sustainable and resilient development.

Our 22,000 employees operate across over 100 countries, deploying their expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge innovations and solutions for clients. Through the wide range of our activities, we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world.

With 3,500 employees across 8 countries in the Middle East, Egis has delivered over 700 complex development projects, stimulating economic growth and enhancing quality of life. Ranked among the top ten firms in the Middle East by Engineering News Record (ENR), Egis is committed to sustainable development. The Group’s operations in the Middle East are built on strategic acquisitions and a deep understanding of local market conditions. Egis’ long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.

Role Overview

The Bid Manager for Architecture plays a key role in securing strategic opportunities across our core architectural disciplines in the Middle East. Working closely with the TU Service Line Partner, this role leads medium and large-scale bids from kick-off through to submission. The Bid Manager provides structure, direction, and accountability across the full bid lifecycle, ensuring each submission is competitive, compliant, and strategically positioned to win. The role will be central to delivering lead design consultant and integrated architecture-led multi-disciplinary opportunities.

You will manage, direct and lead multi-disciplinary teams, translate strategic intent into actionable bid plans and work closely with technical, commercial, legal, and creative leads to deliver high-quality submissions that promote a technical first approach supplemented by a complementary commercial proposal. This role demands strong leadership, commercial understanding, and the ability to drive performance under pressure.

Key Insights

  • Storyboarding and Content Leadership - Drive the development of clear and compelling submissions. Ensure the response structure is persuasive and reflects the delivery strategy and technical solution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as a central point between Business Development, Technical, Commercial, and Legal functions to ensure alignment across all aspects of the pursuit.
  • Continuous Improvement - Contribute to lessons learned, track bid performance, and support ongoing improvements to processes, templates, and strategy.
  • Degree in architecture, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in tendering, bid management, or project leadership within an architectural or multi-disciplinary design consultancy.
  • Proven track record leading complex, high-value bids.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness, with good understanding of pricing strategy and governance.
  • Good understanding of procurement frameworks and pursuit strategy.
