We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our building construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction project.
- Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
- Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer, with a focus on large-scale projects. Minimum total years of experience is 20 years.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or any equivalent.
- Contract management and oversight practiciing skills is a must.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Dubai, UAE
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
