Lead Software Development Engineer - Frontend

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor & manage front end team members.

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable front-end architecture for web applications - Dashboards/CMS development, deployment and monitoring phases.

- Evaluate requirements and create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured development strategies.

- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend & QA teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

- Integrating APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality.

- Ensure top-notch performance, quality, and responsiveness of CMS & web.

- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate development activities.

- Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix defects before they become a problem.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Perform code reviews.

- Setting KPIs and other metrics to measure team performance.

- Team management & motivation.

Required Skills :

- Prior experience working on consumer-facing products.

- 7+ years of experience creating high-performance Dashboards/CMS/web applications using React.

- Passionate about frontend development and writing readable and efficient code.

- Expert level development skills in HTML5, CSS3 & JS & can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems.

- Experience writing unit tests using Jest or React Testing Library.

- You have hands on experience in cache management.

- You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.

- Proficient understanding of ES5/ES6, JQuery.

- Solid understanding of API Integration.

- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX, cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

- Good knowledge of server side rendering using template engine.

- Experience on debugging UI and web service calls.

- Good understanding of SASS, Grunt.

- Experience working on website speed optimisation.

- Deep understanding of browser internal working.

- Good understanding of SEO principles.

- Must have used GIT (Source version control).

- Good understanding of analytics tools such as google analytics, clevertap, etc.

- Solid understanding of release management.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivery high-quality results.

Desired Skills :

- Experience working with Angular.

- Familiarity with automated testing tools including Selenium, Jasmine, and Karma.

- Experience integrating payment gateways.

- Experience working on AWS.
