English Language Teacher
We are looking for an English Language Teacher for an international school based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 school year starting in August 2026.
About the school
This international school in Beijing offers an American curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 12, serving expatriate families in the local community. The school provides a character-focused learning environment, with most classes taught in English and AP courses available for high school students.
The school currently has around 170 students, supported by approximately 30 international teachers and over 10 Chinese teachers. The curriculum covers STEM, humanities, fine arts, Chinese language, and enrichment programs, helping students develop academically and personally in an international setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to middle and high school students in grades G6 to G12, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Prepare lessons, teaching materials, assessments, and report comments according to the school curriculum and academic requirements
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide clear learning targets to support student improvement
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and caregivers
- Collaborate with other teachers and school departments to support curriculum development and student learning
- Create a supportive, safe, and positive classroom environment for all students
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching English Language Arts, AP, or a related subject is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or above is preferred
- Teaching qualification such as TEFL, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent is preferred but not required

- Monthly salary of 25,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with qualifications and experience
