Mobile Software Developer (React Native)

Hi! We are ElmoSoft, an IT company building high-load trading products for an internationally acclaimed multi-asset broker.

Currently, we're looking for a Mobile Software Developer (React Native) to join our team - we're considering both Mid-Level and Senior candidates. The stack and direction are the same; the level of responsibility, architectural ownership, and mentorship load differ.

What you will do:

Mid-Level

• Develop, maintain, and optimize mobile apps using React Native.
• Independently build reusable UI components and implement complex features.
• Integrate and enhance native functionality in Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android) when needed.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Implement and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, e2e) using Detox or Appium.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and deliver performance improvements.
• Participate actively in code reviews, share knowledge, and enforce coding standards.
• Document all work, including API usage, components, and deployment notes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and release process optimizations.
• Begin mentoring junior developers - guide debugging, testing, and mobile best practices.

Senior-Level

• Lead the development of complex mobile app features in React Native and native modules.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and testing strategies.
• Analyze and solve performance, scalability, and production-level issues.
• Design modular, reusable components and scalable architectures.
• Oversee automated testing strategies - grow test coverage with Detox, Jest, Appium.
• Review code for architectural integrity, performance, and maintainability.
• Document architectural decisions, system dependencies, and release notes.
• Identify system risks and propose refactoring or architecture improvement projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level mobile developers - transfer knowledge and build team capability.
• Evaluate and recommend mobile tools, frameworks, or platform-specific enhancements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, mobile best practices, and emerging technologies.

Tech stack:

Core: React Native

Native: Swift/SwiftUI (iOS), Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android)

Testing: Detox, Appium, Jest

APIs & Data: REST, GraphQL, caching, offline-first strategies, local storage

CI/CD: Deployment automation, release pipelines, App Store operations

Performance: Profiling, memory optimization, crash prevention, startup time

Key requirements:

Mid-Level

• 3-5 years of experience in mobile development, with strong React Native experience.
• Solid understanding of native app development (iOS/Android) integration points.
• Experience integrating APIs, third-party services, and local storage solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile app performance optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience in mobile CI/CD, deployment automation, and test coverage tools.
• Good understanding of mobile accessibility, UX/UI standards, and responsive design principles.

Senior-Level (in addition to the above)

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with deep React Native expertise.
• Strong background in native mobile development - Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
• Hands-on experience designing modular, reusable components and scalable architectures.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, caching, and offline-first mobile strategies.
• Advanced skills in performance tuning, app profiling, memory optimization, and crash prevention.
• Proficient in mobile testing frameworks and automated testing pipelines.
• Experience managing CI/CD for mobile apps, deployment pipelines, and app store operations.
