Data Engineer

Every swipe, every session, every recommendation is backed by data - and we're looking for a Data Engineer to build the pipelines and systems that make that data actually usable.

If you like taking messy, high-volume data from every corner of the product and turning it into something Product, Analytics, and Engineering can actually act on - this is your kind of problem.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows that scale with the product.
  • Manage and organize structured and unstructured data flowing in from multiple sources.
  • Support the creation of data models, dashboards, and reporting tools that drive real decisions.
  • Partner closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering to turn raw data into actionable insight.
  • Own data integrity, quality, and security across the entire data lifecycle.
  • Automate manual data processes and continuously improve the scalability of existing systems.

What You Bring

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Experience with ETL tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar) and at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Big Data technologies - Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with modern data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Extra Brownie Points

  • Experience in live streaming, gaming, or consumer tech products.
  • Understanding of analytics, A/B testing, or ML data pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and a collaborative, get-it-done mindset.
