The Talent Data & Insights Specialist enables evidence-based Talent decisions by delivering reliable recurring and ad hoc reporting and analytics, translating business needs into data requirements and measurable KPIs, and acting as the data and analytics counterpart for Talent stakeholders and delivery partners. The role develops, tests, maintains and continuously improves self-service analytics products and data foundations, with a strong focus on data quality, user experience, automation and adoption.
Major Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics Service Delivery:
- Provide accurate and timely recurring and ad hoc Talent reporting and analytics by gathering requirements, clarifying business questions and delivering agreed outputs.
- Manage requests through the global HR case management process, respond in line with agreed service levels and escalate reporting or data quality issues appropriately.
- Conduct actionable analysis of Talent and workforce data, interpret results and communicate insights in a concise, decision-oriented format.
- Refresh, update, document and maintain operational reporting and analytics solutions in R or Excel, including partially automated and legacy solutions, to ensure continuity and reliability.
- Guide colleagues and stakeholders in the effective use of available self-service reports and analytics products, supporting data literacy and reducing avoidable manual requests.
HR Business Analyst & Data Partner:
- Understand Talent priorities, business processes and use cases, and translate them into clear data requirements, KPI definitions, calculation logic, data variables, acceptance criteria and user stories.
- Act as the data counterpart for Talent stakeholders and external delivery partners, providing context on available data, source reports, field definitions and relevant data-generating processes.
- Challenge proposed solutions constructively, assess their business and data impact, and recommend practical options that balance usability, performance, maintainability and data availability.
- Maintain close connections with Talent subcommunities and business owners to understand evolving data needs, clarify ownership and strengthen data literacy.
- Perform gap analysis across the data landscape and support one-truth data foundations, including data architecture, lineage, flows between systems, data quality and new data requirements.
- Promote efficient ways of working with data and identify opportunities for automation, standardization and reuse.
Analytics Product Governance & Delivery:
- Collect, prioritize and document requirements for dashboards and analytics products, working closely with business owners, digital/technology teams and delivery partners.
- Support the design of intuitive, decision-oriented dashboards and data stories, using prototypes or wireframes when useful to align stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Plan and complete user acceptance testing, validate KPI calculations and business rules, assess the impact of changes, document findings and follow issues through resolution.
- Monitor delivered solutions against agreed requirements and support deployment, training, adoption, performance review and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to dashboard governance, access management and the transition from legacy reporting.
Contribution to Data Projects:
- Identify and deliver initiatives that improve the reporting and analytics experience for Talent data, including ad hoc analytics, proof-of-concepts and scalable data products.
- Work in an agile project environment, collaborating with subject matter experts to convert business context into technical implementation and validated outputs.
- Develop analytical logic using the most appropriate platform and support migration or re-engineering of existing solutions into Fabric, Power BI and related technologies.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials and handover information so products can be operated, supported and improved over time.
Tools & Technologies: Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, DAX, Power BI, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, SuccessFactors, Neocase, R, Snowflake and Denodo.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Required Competencies:
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical and analytical topics clearly to varied audiences.
- Proven experience working with large datasets, data preparation, transformation, quality validation, analysis and visualization.
- Strong Power BI skills, including data modeling, KPI logic, dashboard development, user-centered visualization and performance-minded design.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its lakehouse-based analytics environment.
- Experience maintaining or migrating R-based solutions.
- Experience with DAX and SQL is an advantage.
- Demonstrated business analysis capability: requirements gathering, process understanding, KPI definition, impact assessment, user-story development and UAT.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship-management skills, including the confidence to challenge constructively, manage expectations and work effectively with business owners, technical teams and external partners.
- Results-driven, proactive and service-oriented, with clear ownership of delivery, status communication, risk management and issue resolution.
- Well organized, structured, quality- and detail-focused, with the ability to prioritize and manage recurring services alongside project and ad hoc work.
- Continuous-improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, documentation and sustainable handover.
