We are developing a next-generation Cyber Generative AI Platform designed to modernise cybersecurity operations, with an initial focus on Cyber Threat Hunting.

The programme aims to deliver a scalable and extensible GenAI foundation that seamlessly integrates with existing security operations, enabling organisations to enhance threat analysis, accelerate detection, and reduce manual effort. Leveraging advanced technologies including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), Advanced MCP, tool calling, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning, the platform will automate complex threat-hunting workflows and improve detection accuracy.

Built with flexibility and scalability in mind, the platform will provide a foundation for future cybersecurity use cases while driving greater efficiency and effectiveness across security operations.

The Role

As a Software Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior), you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative software solutions that support this strategic cybersecurity initiative. Working within an Agile, globally distributed team, you will contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and maintainable software that meets both business and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to story refinement, technical design discussions, and requirements definition.

• Assist the team in estimating and planning work throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Develop proof-of-concepts to validate new technologies, ideas, and approaches.

• Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable Python code.

• Execute unit testing and ensure solutions meet defined acceptance criteria.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges across the platform.

• Collaborate closely with global teams across the US, EMEA, and APAC.

• Support the implementation of AI-driven features to enhance cyber threat detection and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong software development experience using Python 3+.

• Deep understanding of Python ecosystems, libraries, and frameworks such as:

  • NumPy

  • Pandas

  • PyTorch

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.

• Experience building and supporting highly available, distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.

• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a global team environment.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes.

• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering techniques.

• Knowledge of data science and machine learning frameworks.

• Experience working with cloud platforms including:

  • AWS

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Contributions to open-source software projects.
