The Shutdown Turnaround Outage (STO) Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage opportunities across the assigned region as part of Emerson's Valve Asset Management (VAM) and Lifecycle Services strategy within Final Control.
The role focuses on identifying, developing and executing STO opportunities by working closely with customers, sales teams, Valve Asset Management consultants and service operations. The STO Pursuit Manager will engage directly with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, turnaround planners and site leadership teams to ensure outages are properly scoped, planned and executed while maximizing customer value and Lifecycle Services growth
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead customer engagement throughout the STO lifecycle, ensuring early planning, scope definition and successful execution.
Drive implementation of Emerson's 7-Step STO Process to maximize outage readiness and service delivery.
Conduct site walkdowns and collaborate with customers to identify opportunities, risks and scopeexpansion.
Develop and maintain outage pursuit plans, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and Emerson capabilities.
Partner with Sales, Valve Asset Management Consultants and Service Operations to expand Lifecycle Services revenue.
Identify and pursue opportunities for Valve Asset Management programs, repair services, spare parts, upgradesand Long-Term Service Agreements.
Build strong relationships with maintenance, reliability and turnaround stakeholders to create future service opportunities.
Coordinate with service operations teams to ensure resources, infrastructure and execution plans are in place.
Lead post-outage reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer outcomes.
Collaborate across Emerson Business Units and global teams to develop strategic growth opportunities and deliver customer value.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the valve, flow-control, maintenance, reliability or industrial services industry.
- Experience supporting or managing Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage activities within process industries.
- Knowledge of valve maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and lifecycle management practices.
- Understanding of refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, energy or industrial manufacturing operations.
- Proven customer-facing experience in sales, business development, technical services or reliability programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage all levels of customer organizations.
- Ability to identify customer needs and develop value-based service solutions.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities and account plans.
- Strong organizational, planning and project-management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Experience with Emerson Final Control products and services.
Experience in Valve Asset Management (VAM) programs.
Knowledge of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA).
Previous responsibility for turnaround planning, execution or reliability programs.
Experience within refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical facilitiesor power-generation sites.
Knowledge of digital asset management, predictive maintenanceor reliability-centered maintenance solutions.
