Buyer 2

As a Buyer 2, you will coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.

In this role, your responsibilities will be

• Assist internal customers with creating requisitions for goods and material.

• Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and other contract terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the organization.

• Analyze costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.

• Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and communicate with internal customers when material will arrive.

• Execute reschedule of material as needed.

• Working closely with various departments, such as finance, legal, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure a smooth procurement process that meets the organization's needs.

• Work with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.

• Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion.

• Upholding ethical standards in procurement operations, including fairness, transparency, and avoiding conflicts of interest.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Customs, or International Commerce

• 2 - 4 years of purchasing experience.

• Must be fluent in English

Preferred qualifications that set you a part:

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Understanding how to use data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel's advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Power BI
• Experience with a MRP planning methods.
• Familiarity with ERP systems as Oracle is a plus.
