In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Apply technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and job experience in the design and development of embedded firmware
- Prepare detailed plans, generally spanning several weeks to months, necessary to complete assignments.
- Troubleshoot and debug the Firmware using unit tests, Emulators, Simulators, IDE, and bench testing
- Provide process improvements & recommendations
- Work with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements
- Perform functional integration testing prior to hand-off to the test & evaluation team
- Conduct firmware design reviews on assigned projects

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
- Zero (0) years of applicable experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Experience with related technologies (C/C++, Object-Oriented Design, Python, UML, real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, serial communication protocols such as SPI, SCI, IIC, CAN)
Knowledge of design and development of embedded firmware for products based on 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers.
Knowledge of low-level device driver development (Timer, UART, ADC) for microcontrollers
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (Threadx, MQX, µCO, etc.)
Experience with embedded firmware debugging and familiarity with tools like emulators and debuggers

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
