Empower is an American retirement services company that has become the second largest recordkeeper in the United States, administering workplace retirement plans for tens of millions of people. It grew through the acquisitions of Prudential's and MassMutual's retirement businesses and the Personal Capital wealth platform, and it now combines plan administration with personal wealth management aimed at converting plan participants into advised clients when they leave an employer. Headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado and owned by the Canadian insurer Great-West Lifeco, it is not itself listed.

Our vision for the future is based on the idea that transforming financial lives starts by giving our people the freedom to transform their own. We have a flexible work environment, and fluid career paths. We not only encourage but celebrate internal mobility. We also recognize the importance of purpose, well-being, and work-life balance. Within Empower and our communities, we work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, and our associates dedicate thousands of hours to volunteering for causes that matter most to them.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a senior advisor to clients, consultants, brokers, and business partners, providing expertise on CDH plan design, implementation requirements, operational considerations, and solution capabilities
  • Translate complex client requirements and benefit plan designs into scalable implementation strategies encompassing system configuration, eligibility, contributions, funding, data integration, testing, and ongoing administration
  • Provide CDH implementation leadership across multi-product Workplace Solutions engagements, identifying dependencies, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, and influencing stakeholder decisions
  • Anticipate and manage implementation risks, complex design challenges, and nonstandard client requirements, recommending solutions and escalating strategic decisions when appropriate
  • Lead implementation readiness, user acceptance testing, launch, post-implementation stabilization, and transition to ongoing client service operations
  • Serve as an organizational subject-matter expert in CDH implementation strategy, best practices, and operational readiness
  • Provide guidance and education to implementation, operations, product, sales, and relationship-management teams on CDH solutions and implementation requirements
  • Identify and recommend improvements to CDH implementation processes, tools, standards, and methodologies to improve scalability, operational efficiency, and client outcomes

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Six or more years of experience in Consumer-Directed Health (CDH), employee benefits, client implementation, benefits administration, financial services, healthcare benefits, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Consumer-Directed Health solutions, including Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), commuter benefits, lifestyle accounts, or comparable employer-sponsored benefit programs
  • Experience leading complex, multi-workstream implementations for large or sophisticated employer clients
  • Strong knowledge of CDH plan design, eligibility, contributions, funding, benefits administration, data integrations, and operational requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex client requirements into implementation strategies and coordinate technical and operational stakeholders
  • Experience consulting on complex or nonstandard implementation requirements, managing risks, resolving issues, and influencing decisions across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-management skills, including the ability to communicate complex CDH concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a subject-matter expert, developing implementation best practices, and guiding cross-functional teams

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience leading integrated implementations involving multiple employee benefit products or workplace solutions
  • Experience with eligibility file processing, employer payroll integrations, data mapping, file testing, or electronic data interchange (EDI)
  • Knowledge of applicable HSA, FSA, and HRA regulatory and administrative requirements
  • Experience developing implementation playbooks, standardized processes, or scalable delivery methodologies
