Visa is an American payments technology company whose network traces back to the BankAmericard programme launched in 1958 and which became an independent public company in 2008. It does not issue cards or lend money; instead it operates VisaNet, the switching infrastructure that authorises, clears and settles hundreds of billions of transactions a year between issuing banks, acquirers and merchants in more than two hundred countries. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company earns fees on payment volume and processed transactions, and has expanded into account-to-account transfers, tokenisation, fraud scoring and open banking through Visa Direct and its value-added services division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership across the three pillars of Specialized Operations by translating priorities into clear plans, milestones, roles, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the team leader by translating priorities into actionable plans, coordinating execution, monitoring progress, and helping ensure team deliverables are completed successfully and on time.
  • Lead cross-functional automation projects with the Tech Systems team, including requirements gathering, process design, testing, implementation, adoption, and post-launch optimization.
  • Coordinate initiatives across Specialized Operations, proactively managing risks, decisions, stakeholder communications, and delivery against agreed timelines.
  • Drive cross-training and knowledge sharing across the team to strengthen coverage, build capabilities, and support consistent service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status updates, process documentation, playbooks, templates, and training materials.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate processes, using operational data and stakeholder feedback to prioritize improvements.
  • May manage Specialized Operations cases from intake through assessment, determination, follow-up, and documentation as needed.
  • Track and report project metrics to monitor service-level agreement adherence, delivery progress, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead case-quality reviews to promote compliance, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for Specialized Operations matters.
  • Provide input on case strategy, documentation, stakeholder communication, and operational best practices.
  • Contribute directly to day-to-day case management and operational activities based on business needs while balancing project leadership responsibilities.
