TPM Manager

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~18,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for a TPM Manager to drive the development, deployment, and sustainment of our Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy. In this role, you will help strengthen equipment reliability, eliminate operational losses, develop TPM capabilities throughout the organization, and embed continuous improvement into daily operations.

What is the role about?

Are you passionate about creating sustainable improvements in equipment reliability and operational performance? Do you enjoy developing people and building ownership of TPM principles on the shop floor? Can you connect long-term strategy with hands-on execution and influence teams across an organization?

As our TPM Manager, you will champion a culture of equipment ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Working cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Continuous Improvement, you will provide the leadership and structure needed to advance TPM maturity and deliver measurable business results.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of the site TPM strategy, standards, and roadmap.
  • Integrate TPM practices into daily management systems and operational processes.
  • Drive TPM maturity through audits, assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide leadership across TPM pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Training & Development.
  • Build TPM capability throughout the organization through coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Lead equipment reliability, loss elimination, and structured problem-solving initiatives to improve operational performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to reduce equipment-related losses and improve asset effectiveness.
  • Establish TPM performance measures and ensure progress is visible, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive improvements in key operational metrics, including reliability, availability, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Champion equipment ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Act as a change leader to drive TPM adoption and long-term sustainment.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Continuous Improvement, and leadership teams to align TPM initiatives with business priorities.
  • Lead TPM governance, reviews, and communication activities across the site.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate customer and business needs.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Have demonstrated experience implementing TPM or working within a mature TPM system.
  • Possess a strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing principles, tools, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Have experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing others without direct authority.
  • Demonstrate change leadership, systems thinking, operational discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Are a hands-on leader who is comfortable engaging directly with teams on the shop floor.
  • Can balance strategic vision with tactical execution while prioritizing the broader interests of the company.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward change and the ability to build trust and encourage adoption across teams.
  • Have general knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, and technical operations.
  • Are skilled in analyzing written instructions, business documents, operational data, and performance metrics.
  • Are highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using Power BI to manage, organize, and interpret large data sets.
  • Can effectively prepare reports and business correspondence and confidently deliver presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Ideally have experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Ideally hold a TPM, Lean, or Continuous Improvement certification, such as TPM Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma, or Kaizen Leader.
  • Ideally have experience improving OEE, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance cost performance, and/or working with maintenance analytics.

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future.
  • Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training, tuition reimbursement, success coaching, and further education opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with a 401(k) savings plan with company match.
  • Competitive compensation that includes bonus opportunities.
  • Work-life balance supported through 10 company-paid holidays, paid time off, paid parental leave, and employee assistance programs supporting financial, mental, physical health, and well-being.
  • On-site amenities such as a cafeteria, gym, health clinic, and ergonomic support to foster a convenient and health-conscious workplace environment.
