Job description

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support to the managed services team, along with developing client solutions,

monitoring, responding to and proactively engaging with our managed services clients.

This role is quite varied, with a mix of different tasks throughout the week.

A typical week may include:

• Speaking to clients to reproduce their problem, document the behaviour that they expect and discuss potential changes
• Responding to incoming requests within defined SLAs through our ticketing system
• Working with our project teams to take on support for a new system
• Building a new solution using continuous improvement hours
• Reviewing other developers code or being an escalation for any difficult issues that need assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Must have:

• Strong written and verbal English skills
• At least two years of experience working within a managed services or technical support team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to keep clients and internal stakeholders up to date, to keep tickets updated, and to ensure your work is well documented
• Problem solving skills
• Time management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work from own initiative and within a team environment
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve professional success in a challenging but exciting environment
• Ability to manage workload and time according to set deadlines to ensure SLAs are met
• Supporting development teams throughout the delivery of software development for our managed services clients
• Peer reviewing code submitted by the managed services team
• Owning your own backlog of development support tasks - including the development of SPFx, SharePoint and Azure based components
• Leading the production of technical and user documentation
• Providing technical training to both internal and external client

Desirable:

• Experience across Microsoft platforms, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Azure, Power Platform and the broader Microsoft 365 platform
• Experience with front-end web technologies is a plus! Including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Bootstrap, jQuery, SASS, PowerShell
• Experience developing web-services and integration with 3rd party web-services
• Experience with Test Driven Development, utilising unit testing and continuous integration and deployment
