Enjins was built from day (since 2018) one to do one thing well: ship AI that works in production. We are a team of AI engineers and entrepreneurs who have been building AI-powered products since before it was the obvious thing to do.

Our clients are leading European startups and scale-ups (primarily in climate, energy, and mobility), typically backed by Private Equity or Venture Capital.

We consider ourselves AI builders first and advisors second. The largest part of our work comes from building production-ready AI and data infrastructure for European tech firms. Because we build, we can also judge.

The role

As an AI Strategy Lead, you will work at the intersection of commercial growth and strategic execution. You will act as the primary bridge between our technical engineering teams and our clients' C-suite, leading design sprints and ensuring our AI strategies align with long-term business value.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic advisory: Use your consulting background to create robust AI strategies for tech scale-ups using our proven frameworks.
• Account management: Own the success, progression, and relationship of at least 3 key client accounts, acting as their trusted advisor.
• Commercial growth: Drive customer acquisition and connect with Venture Capital players for our AI Due Diligence value proposition.
• Hub leadership: Partner with our Utrecht Leads to grow the local team, mentor engineers on business awareness, and identify new market propositions.

Requirements

We are looking for a leader who understands the "why" behind the "how" in AI and data technology. There is no single profile we're looking for: we believe this role can succeed from two different starting points.

Profile 1: Hands-on AI & Data Practitioner

You have hands-on data and AI project experience, from scoping through delivery. That depth lets you build concrete, in-depth AI roadmaps grounded in what's actually feasible, and to design and guide the account throughout delivery, not just at the strategy table.

Profile 2: Climate & Energy Network Builder

You have an established network within the Climate Tech and Energy scale-up ecosystem. That network positions you to own and drive our portfolio: opening doors, building trusted relationships with founders and C-level stakeholders, and growing our footprint in the sector.

From either starting point, you'll grow into owning a sub-domain within Climate & Energy: sharpening how we define AI strategies, optimizing our service delivery, or coaching our Forward Deployed AI Engineers. In both cases: strong account and project management skills, comfort discussing ML/AI/LLM, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering challenges, and a track record in consulting, tech, or AI are what we're after. Quality and relevance of your experience matter more than years alone.

• Eligible to work in the Netherlands, and Dutch speaking.

• Compensation: €65K - €90K base salary, depending on experience and fit

• Upside: VSOP participation plus a performance-based bonus
• Hub & Practice Leadership: beyond owning client accounts, you'll shape how Enjins delivers AI strategy as a practice, defining our methodology, optimising service quality, and coaching Forward Deployed AI Engineers, while also growing the Utrecht hub itself alongside our Leads.
