About the role and what you'll be doing: 

As a Banking Solution Architect, you are a seasoned technologist driving technical innovation and transformation for our financial institution clients. You will work alongside solution architects and digital consultants throughout the pre-sales process, providing end-to-end solutioning-from mainframe modernization to cutting-edge digital services-while ensuring full compliance with banking regulations and financial industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand financial institution client needs deeply and tailor solutions accordingly
• Present Ensono's Mainframe Modernization Service and digital offerings to banking clients
• Develop proof of concepts that demonstrate value across the entire IT landscape while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Address client questions and objections during proposal presentations, with particular expertise in financial services requirements
• Work with cross-functional teams to execute multi-year transformation initiatives for banking environments
• Create reference architecture frameworks and templates for complex solutions specific to financial institutions
• Foster executive-level relationships with banking clients, emphasizing client satisfaction and risk mitigation
• Provide fully costed solution architecture that meets regulatory and compliance requirements
• Communicate progress and direction through formal presentations, collaborative meetings, and content publishing to banking stakeholders
• Maintain and update documentation related to organization-wide IT activities, technology roadmaps, and regulatory considerations

What You Will Need:

• 10+ years of extensive experience in solution architecture, with at least 5 years in financial services or banking environments

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF)

• Deep understanding of mainframe technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, FDIC, SOX, etc.)

• Familiarity with cutting-edge digital solutions for financial institutions

• Ability to align technical solutions with business objectives while maintaining compliance

• Effective collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams

• Comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders in banking organizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Proven experience with banking digital transformation initiatives
• Analytical thinking, adaptability, and a growth mindset
• Passion for continuous learning and staying at the forefront of financial technology
• Understanding of the competitive landscape from both banking and technical perspectives

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $156,000 to $210,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include a role-based, sales-incentive plan, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
