- Design and build back-end microservices using Java
- Implement event-driven integrations to support reliable service-to-service communication
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with Front-end experiences built in React and Next.js
- Build and maintain data access layers using object-relational mapping (ORM) frameworks
- Containerize services with Docker to support consistent deployment and scaling
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to keep solutions modular and maintainable
- Implement OAuth-based authentication and authorization and follow secure coding practices
- Reuse and integrate existing microservices built in .NET Core where required
- Java proficiency for building back-end services
- Microservices architecture experience including API design and service integration
- Event-driven architecture knowledge and practical implementation experience
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience using services such as Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway and Amazon DynamoDB (any cloud experience is transferable, AWS is not mandatory)
- Front-end development capability with React and Next.js plus HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Docker knowledge for containerization and deployment workflows
- OAuth experience for authentication and authorization
- Problem-solving ability with clear communication and collaboration in agile teams
- Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in complex domains
- Experience writing unit tests with Jest
- Experience building and maintaining reusable components with Storybook
