The Global Delivery Centre (GDC) in Gurugram is ERMs global operating backbone.

It delivers business enablement services in Finance, HR, IT, and Commercial Operations to ensure ERMs global business runs seamlessly, efficiently, and consistently.

At the GDC, you will:

- Be part of a hub that ensures ERMs business continuity worldwide.

- Collaborate with colleagues across geographies to support global operations.

- Drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency in core functions.

- Work with digital, automation, and AI-enabled tools to optimise how ERM operates.

- Work in shifts where required, depending on the role.

- As processes mature and automation increases, reliance on shifts will reduce.

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will support ERM's global delivery by leading Agile practices, enabling high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic technology and business initiatives.

You will work within ERMs Digital and Technology teams, partnering with global stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas to drive efficient project execution, foster collaboration, and deliver business value.

This role is critical to improving delivery predictability, enhancing team productivity, and supporting scalable Agile ways of working across the organization while maintaining high standards of quality and continuous improvement.

What youll bring:

- Scrum Master Experience - 5+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar Agile delivery role.

- Agile Certifications - Professional certification such as CSM, PSM II/III, CSP-SM, or equivalent.

- Scaled Agile Experience - Demonstrated experience working within SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or other scaled frameworks.

- Technical & Delivery Acumen - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, and modern engineering approaches.

- Facilitation & Coaching Skills - Proven ability to coach teams and leaders, resolve conflict, and guide groups toward consensus.

- Data-Driven Mindset - Ability to interpret delivery metrics and use insights to improve team performance.

- Communication & Influence - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred:

- Experience leading multiple teams simultaneously in a complex, multi-product environment.

- Background in product development, engineering, or business analysis.

- Exposure to Lean, Kanban, XP, or other Agile delivery methods.

- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar Agile tooling.

Key responsibilities:

1. Agile Delivery & Flow Optimizations:

- Agile Facilitation - Facilitates Scrum events and collaborative sessions that drive clarity, alignment, and continuous improvement.

- Flow Management - Uses WIP limits, cycle-time analysis, and throughput data to optimize delivery flow.

- Empirical Planning - Applies empirical data to guide sprint planning, forecasting, and release predictability.

2. Coaching & Team Development:

- Agile Coaching - Coaches teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile principles, self-management, and effective collaboration.

- Team Maturity Development - Builds team capability through targeted coaching, feedback loops, and continuous learning practices.

- Psychological Safety Building - Creates an environment where teams feel safe to experiment, challenge assumptions, and innovate.

3. Impediment & Risk Management:

- Systemic Problem-Solving - Identifies root causes of delivery issues and drives long-term solutions.

- Risk Anticipation - Proactively identifies delivery, resourcing, and dependency risks using data and observation.

- Escalation Management - Escalates systemic blockers with clarity, evidence, and recommended actions.

4. Resourcing & Workforce-Related Skills:

- Capacity Analysis - Interprets velocity, throughput, and cycle-time trends to provide accurate capacity insights.

- Workload Balancing - Identifies workload imbalances and recommends adjustments to maintain sustainable pace.

- Skill Gap Identification - Detects emerging skill gaps (e.g., QA, UX, DevOps) through backlog and delivery analysis.

- Team Composition Advisory - Advises on optimal mix of generalists and specialists to maximize team autonomy and flow.

5. Cross-Team Coordination:

- Dependency Management - Identifies and coordinates cross-team dependencies to reduce delivery friction.

- Shared Resource Alignment - Works with resource managers to ensure specialist availability for critical work.

6. Stakeholder & Communication Skills:

- Stakeholder Alignment - Builds strong relationships across IT Functions, Product, Engineering, and Business teams.

- Data-Driven Communication - Communicates delivery insights using metrics, dashboards, and evidence-based narratives.

- Conflict Resolution - Facilitates constructive conflict resolution to maintain team cohesion and focus.

7. Scaled Agile & Organizational Agility:

- Scaled Planning Support - Contributes to PI Planning and cross-team alignment activities.

- Systems Thinking - Understands organizational dynamics and optimizes delivery across interconnected teams.

- Change Enablement - Supports adoption of Agile practices and behaviors across the organisation.
