With rapid growth across digital and virtual collaboration, we’re looking to further grow our EY wavespace Athens office with an addition of an Experience Designer to work in a truly leading-edge environment, surrounded by some of the most engaging and knowledgeable colleagues in the business in a wide range of focused areas; AI, digital strategy, experience design, sales strategy, work experience of the future, digital program activation and more.

Your key responsibilities

As EY wavespace Experience Designer, you’ll help design experiences, both bespoke and repeatable, to be used across wavespace for a diverse roster of internal and external clients. You will work with Experience Leaders and Managers to help internal clients understand and articulate their vision, then design strategies to meet it.

To be successful in this role, you should have deep experience in design thinking and workshop facilitation as well as to event management and planning More specifically, the successful candidate should:

Experience Design:

• Engage with the wavespace team and Service Line and Sector teams to develop wavespace experiences
• Define strategy and design strategic solutions for the expected experience based on stakeholder interviews, research analysis, persona creation, user needs, journey maps, and business requirements
• Design facilitated sessions for internal clients by applying design thinking methodology
• Interpret internal client needs in real time throughout an experience and create frameworks/ activities/templates to support them

Design Thinking:

• Identify and collaborate with EY resources outside of the wavespace network to make use of the tools and services available and support the integration back into the designed experience
• Have expertise in wavespace methodology and approach as well as the broader design-thinking approach

Visual & Interaction Design:

• Prototype in real-time frameworks, diagrams, interfaces or slides to enhance understanding and alignment
• Design and create session materials and deliverables
• Support internal clients in the use of the collaboration software used in the experience (e.g., Miro, Mural, Mentimeter, FigJam, Figma, etc.)

Operations:

• Support wavespace Experience Leader and Managers with various aspects of project management and “back of room” session process facilitation, as directed.
• Large scale event management and event planning support

Stakeholder Network:

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key internal clients, as well as internal/external networks
• Articulate and differentiate the value of design in a compelling manner to business leaders

Skills and attributes for success

This is a highly visible role with significant leadership interaction.

• Experience in Design thinking and workshop delivery/facilitation
• Professional or high-level educational experience with multi/specific design field(s) - visual, interaction, industrial, digital, etc.
• People management with strong communication skills
• Professional background that includes either In-house design/innovation experience, Design/innovation experience from another consultancy
• Ability to manage ambiguity and change
• Experience in event management/planning
• An innovative mindset and curiosity to seek new ways to improve or enhance ways of working, including staying current on design trends, methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with digital collaboration platforms and techniques (e.g., Mural, Miro, etc.)
• Confidence facilitating discussion groups and collaboration activities
• Strong client-facing consulting experience
• Understanding EY’s client’s reality and challenges
• Subject matter expertise for the development of collaborative session designs to support the client in reaching desired outcomes and outputs faster and in a more innovative way
• Ability to oversee the delivery of Wavespace sessions, ensuring a high-quality seamless experience for all participants, an inclusive process that engages all, an action oriented event that maintains pace and a focus on outcomes that are both practical and short term.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• 4+ years professional experience including any mix of consulting, digital/innovation, product management with a commercial element, event management.
• Strong academic record and eagerness for continuous development
• Strong digital product and service development experience
• Large scale meeting management and facilitation
• Project delivery experience in any of the areas below (not mandatory but would be greatly appreciated):

• Digital Transformation & Digital Design
• Technology Implementation
• Organizational Operating & Delivery Modelling and implementation
• Process Efficiency (definition, implementation and measurement)
• Customer Experience mapping/journey mapping
• Design Thinking
