Lifeguard Team Leader

Hamilton Aquatics is looking for an experienced and proactive Lifeguard Team Leader to lead and support our lifeguard team while ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality operational environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily lifeguard operations, maintaining safety standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, delivering excellent customer service, and providing operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Key Objectives

• Supervise the lifeguard team, monitor performance, provide feedback to the line manager, and identify areas requiring training, development, or skill checks.
• Conduct regular quality assurance and safety checks, including Hamilton Bay site visits, pool checks, and operational equipment inspections, and document and report any concerns or required corrective actions.
• Support lifeguards in resolving pool-related issues, ensure compliance with safety guidelines, and maintain a safe environment for swimmers, staff, and visitors.
• Deliver high-quality customer service by interacting with customers, addressing enquiries, and effectively resolving complaints.
• Assist with operational coordination, including scheduling, managing absences, attending monthly training sessions, and ensuring safe and legal transportation of lifeguards to site locations.
• Report operational concerns promptly to the line manager and provide guidance and emergency assistance as needed to uphold safety and service standards.
• Assist coaches with member communications relating to class relocations, cancellations, schedule changes, and other operational updates, ensuring professional and timely communication.
• Support the Area Manager with administrative duties as required, including record keeping, reporting, and general operational administration.
• Provide customer service and administrative support during periods of lower operational activity, assisting with member enquiries and contributing to the smooth running of the business.

Desired Qualifications

• Qualified Pool Lifeguard
• First Aid qualification
• Valid UAE Driving Licence

Desired Experience

• Proven experience in a lifeguard leadership role with administrative responsibilities
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in lifeguarding
