ETH juniors is the student-run technical consultancy of ETH Zurich, based in Zurich, that connects companies with ETH students and graduates for consulting projects, software and data work, employee leasing and campus recruiting. Founded in 1997, it turns university know-how into practical solutions for Swiss businesses, from software firms in St. Gallen to industrial and real estate clients, sponsors student engineering teams and develops a pro bono web application each year. Assignments it fills include backend, .NET, Android and AI engineers, Power BI experts, cloud solution architects, cyber security engineers, ICT infrastructure managers and junior real estate developers.
This is a remote position.
Do you want to connect a live web platform to a CRM and make sure data flows both ways? Our client, a consulting and training company, runs a web app with video and simulation features for its customers. The platform works, but it is poorly connected to the CRM. Purchases appear in the CRM, but CRM data is not pulled back into the platform. You will close that gap and migrate the existing automations to a clean setup. The goal is a pragmatic solution: fast, but clean and documented.
Your tasks
- Build workflows (Power Automate) that sync data between the CRM and the web platform in both directions
- Migrate the existing flows to the new setup
- Document your work so the team can maintain it after you leave
- Work with the current developer, who is part-time, and take over the integration
Requirements
- Experience with integrations, APIs and data flows between applications
- You document your code cleanly and follow LEAN principles
- Good understanding of CRM systems
- Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow tools is a plus, but not a requirement
- Independent and structured way of working, with a pragmatic mindset
- Fluent English; German is a plus
