Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with a strong commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development environment.

This role combines manual and automated testing responsibilities, including test planning, functional and regression testing, defect management, and quality process improvement. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is an on-site position, requiring the candidate to work from the office and collaborate closely with product, development, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience designing and executing functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience documenting and managing test cases, test results, and software defects.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks; experience with Playwright or similar tools is a strong asset.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience validating data in relational databases.
• Familiarity with REST API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Experience working with defect and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the integration of automated testing into the deployment process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple testing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level; C1 preferred.
• Availability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify risks, gaps, and testing needs.
• Design, document, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing across software applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and release confidence.
• Analyze test results and identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Validate backend processes and data integrity using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement sessions, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of quality standards, testing processes, and best practices.
• Support release validation and provide clear assessments of product quality and potential risks.
• Monitor and report testing progress, defect trends, test coverage, and other relevant quality metrics.
• Promote a quality-focused mindset across engineering and product teams.

• Experience with Playwright or another modern UI automation framework.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.
• Experience testing cloud-based, web, or mobile applications.
• Knowledge of accessibility and security testing practices.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• ISTQB certification or an equivalent quality assurance certification.
