Account Director - East Region

Ethology’s Account Directors hold a pretty important role. They’re the head of client accounts, drivers of change, solution ­oriented thinkers, advisers to clients on all things business strategy, and the ones who rally Ethologists to think bigger, do better, and achieve more. In short, they live by one motto: Put our clients first, or someone else will.

The deets.

•Establish a strategic relationship with clients and serve as a business consultant

•Uncover opportunities to drive growth (customer satisfaction & revenue)

•Guide and direct internal teams, so they can consistently perform above and beyond client expectations

•Be able to net $1M in client business per year

•Create, manage, review and analyze client ­facing reports

•Translate wins, opportunities and objectives to clients

•Monitor and present new and upcoming digital trends to clients

•Communicate effectively and frequently with clients

•Ensure program success, and adjust program accordingly to accommodate for changing environments

•Provide clear client feedback to internal teams

•Rally internal teams to create strategic recommendations and bring new ideas to the table

•Provide clear client feedback to internal performance teams

•Managing/pursuing contracts; up­sell, amendments

•Mix of agency and in-­house or client ­side experience

•8+ years digital marketing, strategy or account management experience

•Strong organizational skills and a hands­-on approach

•Willingness to aggressively take on new responsibilities

•Willingness to travel

•Integrity, independence and a desire to apply your skills

•Excellent organizational and analytical skills

•Ability to represent and promote Ethology and demonstrate value added service to clients

•Experience with and up­ to ­date knowledge of the entire digital spectrum, including website and mobile

design and development, social media, paid media and search engine optimization

•Proven ability to navigate and lead large brands and organizations

•Ability to effectively manage several projects and/or accounts at once

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school, MBA is a nice to haveBachelor's Degree, MBA would be great to have

Must be located in New York or Chicago

Must have 8+ years of agency experience
