We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Expert Engineer eager to broaden their expertise and drive impactful improvements across our solutions. You’ll tackle complex problems and help shape our delivery, working in a collaborative environment that supports growth, fosters innovation and strengthens our alignment with business needs.

Your day-to-day mission:

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of technical and functional solutions, owning complex features and collaborating with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable systems. Provide expert input to technical decisions and support junior colleagues in resolving medium-to-high-complexity issues.
• Contribute and actively shape ideation workshops by providing expert insights and recommending enhancements to improve product functionality and user experience
• Drive the definition, estimation, and validation of complex technical requirements, proactively influencing planning accuracy and enabling predictable, high-quality feature delivery across teams.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of production applications by independently leading technical investigations, implementing durable fixes, and guiding peers in troubleshooting.
• Lead the creation and improvement of design documentation for medium-to-high-complexity changes, ensuring technical clarity and alignment with architectural standards while contributing to stronger design practices across the team.
• Drive the adoption and evolution of best practices and coding standards to ensure high code quality, while leading and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
• Take ownership of applications (quality, support, evolution)
• Perform production support (including off-hours when required)

What you need to have to succeed in this role:

• Hands-on experience as a software engineer (at least 5 years) .
• Advanced understanding of software related system designs and technology stacks.
• Solid knowledge of solution development and design principles.
• Ability to interpret business requirements, assess their technical implications, and help translate them into well-scoped, practical technical solutions.
• Proactive in learning and expanding technical expertise, while contributing to team goals, engaging in cross-functional projects, and supporting cloud migration efforts, AI integration, automation frameworks, Infrastructure as Code best practices and effective collaboration within and across teams
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Hands-on experience with tools/platforms such as:
• Mainframe: PL/I or Cobol, DB2, MQ, CICS
• Nice to have:

  • Azure, Kafka, event-driven architecture
  • IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, JDK, Javac/Java commands, Maven, Gradle, IDE environments, JUnit, Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, VisualVM, JFR, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, AWS, GCP, VPC/VNet, CLI, Visual Studio, Oracle, CSS, SSIS, APIs, MQ Series, Linux, Togaf, CoBit.

Work outside of business hours is sometimes required as launches in production are generally carried out after 5PM or on Saturday as well as watch duty during nights and weekends.
