Euronext is a pan-European exchange group formed in 2000 by merging the Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris exchanges, and it has since added Lisbon, Dublin, Oslo and, most significantly, Borsa Italiana. It operates equity, derivatives, bond and commodity markets alongside clearing through Euronext Clearing and custody and settlement services, and it has been migrating those markets onto a single technology platform to run one exchange group rather than seven national ones. Headquartered in Amsterdam with substantial operations in Paris and Milan, it is the largest listing venue in continental Europe by market capitalisation.

Join us as an Events & Communications Trainee

About Euronext

Euronext is the leading pan-European market infrastructure, connecting European economies to global capital markets to accelerate innovation and sustainable growth. With a presence across several European countries, Euronext brings together diverse teams, markets and expertise.

The role

Euronext Lisbon is looking for an Events Intern to join its Events team inLisbon, supporting the delivery of a diverse programme of corporate, institutional and client events in Portugal, as well as selected international projects.

The team organises more than 30 events a year, ranging from ceremonies and client gatherings to conferences, institutional dinners and internal events. The role offers hands-on exposure to the full event lifecycle in a dynamic, international environment, with opportunities to work with colleagues, senior stakeholders and external partners across the Euronext Group.

We are looking for someone who already has some practical experience helping to organise events and is keen to build on that foundation in a professional environment. You should be very organised, proactive and attentive to detail, comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks and following through on commitments, while knowing when to ask questions or seek guidance.

You will contribute from the outset and progressively take on greater responsibility, including coordinating smaller events as your experience and understanding of Euronext develop.

Key responsibilities:

1. Event planning and delivery

· Support the planning and delivery of events, from initial preparation through to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.

· Help coordinate event timelines, guest lists, invitations, registrations, speakers, suppliers and logistics.

· Request and compare supplier quotations, support budget tracking and assist with procurement and invoice follow-up, in line with internal procedures.

· Prepare event materials and coordinate practical arrangements with internal teams, agencies and external partners.

· Support on-site event delivery, helping ensure a smooth and professional experience for guests and participants.

· Contribute to post-event follow-up, reporting, communications and documentation.

2 - Ownership and event coordination

¡ Take ownership of clearly defined tasks and event workstreams, keeping track of deadlines, details and next steps.

¡ Follow up proactively with stakeholders and suppliers, flagging potential issues and seeking guidance when needed.

¡ Progressively coordinate smaller events, such as ceremonies, client lunches and dinners, workshops or internal initiatives, with support from the team.

¡ Contribute to larger and more complex events, gaining experience in managing multiple stakeholders and operational requirements.

3 - International projects and event operations

¡ Collaborate with colleagues across the Euronext Group on cross-border events and shared initiatives.

¡ Support the use and maintenance of event management tools, registration platforms, calendars and reporting dashboards.

¡ Help maintain clear event documentation, checklists, processes and templates.

¡ Contribute to the consistent application of event processes and standards across teams and locations.

4 - Communications and continuous improvement

¡ Assist with event-related content and materials, including invitations, presentations, signage and internal communications.

¡ Research event ideas, venues, suppliers and practical solutions.

¡ Share suggestions to improve event planning, coordination and ways of working.

What we are looking for:

Essential

¡ Previous practical experience in event organisation, ideally involving several stages of the planning and delivery process, such as logistics, timelines, registrations, supplier coordination or on-site support. Experience may come from an internship, part-time work, university events, a student association or another relevant setting.

¡ A genuine enthusiasm for events and an interest in how they are planned, organised and delivered behind the scenes.

¡ Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work.

¡ A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to manage assigned tasks, maintain accurate information, track deadlines and follow up consistently.

¡ A collaborative, positive attitude and a genuine willingness to contribute to the team's success.

¡ The ability to remain calm, focused and organised when priorities change or deadlines are tight.

¡ Good communication skills and a good command of English, both written and spoken.

¡ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice to have

¡ Studies in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, Business or a related field.

¡ Exposure to corporate, institutional, university or international events.

¡ Familiarity with event registration platforms, project management tools or digital collaboration tools.

¡ Some experience with supplier coordination, quotations, budgets or administrative follow-up.

The person we are looking for:

¡ Enjoys making things happen: you are enthusiastic about events and take an interest in all the practical details that make them successful.

¡ Is naturally organised: you like structure, keep information up to date and feel comfortable working with timelines, checklists and administrative processes.

¡ Takes ownership and follows through: you anticipate next steps, keep track of outstanding actions and can be relied on to complete what you commit to.

¡ Brings positive energy to the team: you are approachable, constructive and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

¡ Works calmly and methodically: you can manage competing tasks without losing sight of the details or overlooking important follow-ups.

¡ Collaborates rather than competes: you value shared goals, communicate openly and are comfortable contributing ideas while supporting decisions and priorities agreed with the team.

¡ Is curious and eager to learn: you welcome feedback, ask questions when needed and gradually build confidence and independence.

¡ You combine enthusiasm for events with a strong sense of organisation and responsibility. You understand that successful events depend as much on preparation, coordination and follow-through as on creativity and the event itself.

What you will gain:

¡ Hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of corporate, institutional and client events.

¡ Exposure to a wide variety of event formats, stakeholders and operational challenges.

¡ The opportunity to contribute to international projects and collaborate with teams across the Euronext Group.

¡ Progressive responsibility, including the opportunity to coordinate smaller events as your skills develop.

¡ Practical experience in event planning, supplier coordination, logistics, communications and project management within a leading European financial market infrastructure group.

¡ Guidance and feedback from an experienced team, helping you build confidence and develop your event management skills.

Apply by submitting a CV in English.
